Vascular Interventional Technologist

Location: San Diego, California

Duties:
Performs vascular studies on patients with arterial, venous, carotid, and other vascular problems, both in the clinical vascular laboratory and when necessary in the hospital and Emergency Dept.
Determines if disease is present from this evaluation.
Performs the Doppler exam and utilizes various ultrasound equipment for testing.
Performs Physiologic lower and upper extremity arterial exams.
Performs TcPo2 studies.
Performs Transcranial doppler evaluations.
Performs various office functions including scheduling patients, maintaining equipment, preparing correspondence and ordering supplies.
Coordinates monthly vascular conference.
Ensures that work area is clean, stocked and orderly; maintains adequate records.
Performs other duties, as required.
Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.

Requirements:
CRT with Fluoroscopy permit
ARRT
CPR (Current BLS-C)

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum two (2) years of experience as a staff technologist in Interventional Radiology or successful completion of the department angiography interventional training program.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate of advanced qualification: ARRT-Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) and/or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV)
Venipuncture Certificate
Additional training in the use and practices of angiography interventional procedures

Certification: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation , ARRT-Vascular Interventional Radiography , ARRT-Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography
