The Medical Assistant performs a variety of functions such as answering telephone calls and relaying messages in the clinic’s call center, verifying patients’ demographics and insurance information, and scheduling appointments. This particular role will be working primarily in the front office.
High School Diploma or GED
Strong verbal/written communication and active listening skills
Excellent interpersonal and telephone communications skills
Basic computer skills to include keyboarding, mouse movement and data entry skills to enter information accurately into the electronic medical record (EMR)
Ability to demonstrate customer service skills in interactions with all patients.
